The Level 1 Authenticity Test Verifies Components are NOT Counterfeit

Counterfeit components are becoming an ever growing problem in the electronics industry. Components are being altered, remarked, refurbished and passed off as new. There are various counterfeit component detection methods, however with years of experience in the industry and continuous adaptation the the current counterfeiting techniques, Retronix advise that a group of component tests are carried out to verify that you have authentic componets. The authenticity test verifies your package contents are genuine components and consists of:

• Visual Inspection
• Marking Permanency Test
• De-Cap Test
• BEST Electrical Test

ALL of these tests should be carried out on either a batch of your components, or all of your components to ensure that they are genuine authentic components and not counterfeit components. By carrying out these four tests, we can ensure that the components are authentic. This combats the problem of counterfeit components and it is our objective to offload these from the market place.
