Retronix Certified Component Testing and Component Verification Services

Retronix Certified are continually developing new and innovative component testing and component counterfeit detection methods, to stay ahead of the ever increasing and improving counterfeit methods being used. Our component testing list is not exhaustive, but with a huge range of interconnects and years of experience, we are capable of meeting and exceeding your component testing needs. There are various methods and groupings of electrical component tests which can be completed on your parts. At present the component testing services that we offer are:

• Visual Inspection
• Marking Permanency Testing
• De Cap – Decapsulation
• Basic Electrical Testing
• BEST Electrical Testing
• KFT Testing
• Memory Program Testing
• AOI Automated Optical Inspection
• Solderability Testing
• X Ray Inspection
• XRF Analysis

All of the above component tests can be completed by Retronix Certified. The list is not exhaustive and is continually being developed, however to verify that your parts are authentic (not counterfeit components), electronically functional or mechanically correct our recommendations are:

Level 1 Authenticity Test

To check the authenticity of your parts, Retronix Certified recommend that you carry out the following group of component tests AS A WHOLE on a batch or on all of your devices:

• Visual Inspection
• Marking Permenancy Test
• De Cap Test
• Basic Electrical Test

By carrying out all of the above tests on your components, you can ensure that your components are genuine, and avoid problems with counterfeit components.

Level 2 Electrical Verification Tests

To electrically check your parts, Retronix Certified recommend that you carry out one or more of the following electrical component tests on all of your components:

• BEST Electrical Testing
  • Basic Unpowered Electrical Testing
  • Powered Electrical Testing
• Key Functional Testing (KFT Testing)
• Memory Programming Test

Carrying out one of the above tests will verify the electrical functionality of your components.

Level 3 Mechanical Verification Tests

To mechanically test your parts, Retronix Certified recommend that you carry out one or more of the following component tests on all of your components:

• Automated Optical Inspection (AOI Inspection)
• Solderability Testing
• X Ray Inspection
• XRF Testing

This will verify that the mechanical properties of your components conform to the data sheet.

All of our component testing methods have been developed over time, and are tried and tested to ensure the highest quality of service. We aim to eliminate counterfeit components and defective components from the market place.
